Previous page <> Next Triangular plywood stem piece wired in. | Both transom and stem fitted, now we are ready to glass the inside hull joints. |
Mid bulkhead assembly and forepeak bulkhead have been checked for fit and have been replaced by temporary bracing prior to glassing. Keel joint and chines have been glassed. | Transom glassed in after chines are done. |
Aft buoyancy boxes dry assembled, ready to glue and glass in. | Six temporary screws are used to locate and provide gluing pressure to daggerboard case bottom joint. |
Mid bulkhead assembly installed and being glued. Buoyancy boxes were glued at the same time. | Forepeak bulkhead being glued to hull. Note use of braces, especially the vertical one ahead of the actual bulkhead. Srap 16mm particle board was shaped to same outline as bulkhead. The plywood in this area needs more pressure to take the shape than the plywood bulkhead can provide. |
Mid bulkhead and aft buoyancy boxes glassed in now glue has set. | Stem has three layers of ply laminated to build up for shaping a round stem. |
