Pictures of the 'Alegra' under sail:The "Alegra" has been around for quite a while. The rig she was mostly sailed with is off the "Pinta", a basic Bermudian main sail, batten-less with negative roach.Last year I decided I wanted a bit more sail area and the sail maker agreed that he could do something there and added some roach and supported it on a few battens. The seam where the old leach was is visible in the pictures below. Sail area is now 7.1m2 which adds a bit of excitement to the sail. |
