Building the 'Samba':

Continuing with the build of "Samba".

Samba09 Samba10
Most bulkheads, dagger board case etc. were made up before assembly of hull panels. After setting up the cradle: place keel strake into it, located with temporary screws, then the first hull panel.
Samba11 Samba12
Wiring up starts from the stern. Working towards the stem, which is the tough one to pull into shape.
Samba13 Samba14
Keel strake/hull panel joints pulled in as far as possible. Later these joints will be closed by using a heat gun on the plywood to assist in bending. Stem still open, transom placed loosely using temporary screws at top.
Samba15 Samba16
Main forepeak bulkhead dry fit. The first gunnel lamination goes on to ensure fairness of sheer line. Dagger board case and mid bulkhead installed.
