Now to round off and fair the gunnel into the bow transom: mark the radius and saw off this piece. | The rest is done with the belt sander. |

Gluing in the quarter knees after cutting out and rounding off lower edge. | The mid-bulkhead lobes are reinforced with two doublers each, here the first being dry-fit. Spacers ensure faces remain parallel. |
All doublers have locating holes either side of the future bolthole. During glue up these locating holes receive dowels. | In the meantime the quarterknees' glue has set and the top has been faired in by sanding and the upper edge has been rounded off. |
To finish off the lower edge of the gunnels the boat is turned over... | The lower edge of the gunnel near the bow transom needs to be tapered and faired to improve looks. |
