After fitting the doublers to the lobes, small knees are made up and glued in. The forepeak bulkhead has one more stiffener added where the mast partners will be bolted on.

Quarterknee sealed with one coat of epoxy. The faired in gunnel and the bow transom looking pretty good now with epoxy seal coat on.

A small screw is the secret to clamping the knees at the mid-bulkhead lobes. The screw hole falls in the area where the saw cut will be made that separates the boat again. Dry-fitting the mast base consisting of three laminations: Note bolts in the locating holes during fitting.

Knees and lobes sanded and rounded off. Same with one seal coat.

And finally the foredeck can be glued on... The mast base complete with socket assembled and glued up as one unit.
